Little Steps with SEO
When our journey first started with Data Bear, we began with our local products these included Google My Business and Bizify. These base products allowed us to help improve Data Bear’s current local presence and also improve their knowledge graph as well. We had started to see some great improvements locally and the next natural step was to start working on the actual website. Data Bear offers Power BI Training Courses across the UK and has a number of specific areas where these can be carried out.
Once we had identified the locations Data Bear could carry out courses, we started to produce content to ensure we have the right service pages for each location. Before we start any writing, we carry out in-depth keyword research, which covers Main, Phrase, Related, LSI and Semantic Terms. In addition to this, we also work on creating relevant frequently asked questions based on client information, SEMrush and Google Related Questions. Once we had carried out the research, we worked on producing one topical authority page and then localised this to cover each area the client wished to target.
Building On Our SEO Foundations
Straight from the offset we saw an uplift in rankings across a number of competitive locations such as London and Manchester and a number of others. The small bits of one-off work allowed us to build trust with the client; which in turn led to him becoming a regular monthly paying SEO client. Our main focus of the campaign has been to rank for terms relating to ‘Power Bi’ and ‘Power Apps’, which we have achieved. We have seen constant month and month growth with Data Bear’s campaign and hope to maintain a long and fruitful relationship.
Effective Link Building Campaigns
One of the biggest parts of working with Data Bear has been link building. As part of the ongoing campaign, we have following a structured link building campaign. Initially, we worked on building out citations on a national basis, ensuring Data Bear had been submitted to all of the top UK directories. Once we had completed the first phase, we began looking at more niche and local citations. Our next step after this is competitor link building, where we analyse a particular competitor and then work on building any links that the client didn’t have.
After this, we worked on sourcing a number of paid directory placements and link placements to help quickly build up a strong topical trust flow in the right niche. Since then, we have continued a mix of all three link building methods to achieve a steady and natural result. In addition to this, we have also looked at article based outreach (guest posting) for the client on a number of authoritative websites relevant to his business.
