We’re proud to announce that Outrank achieved 40th place at the Best Places™ for Women Awards 2025!
This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where women in digital, data, development, and design can thrive. We believe that empowering women in the tech industry isn’t just important – it is essential for progress, innovation, and long-term growth.
At the heart of our company’s success is something we’re incredibly proud of – a leadership team made up primarily of women. In fact, the men are outnumbered, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Our Queens feel valued, supported and uplifted
40th place gives us an amazing opportunity to reflect on how we can improve this and ensure that our Queens feel valued, supported and uplifted to achieve everything in life – both personally and professionally.
We will improve this by spotlighting what we don’t currently offer, instead of simply praising ourselves for what we do.
Did you know that less than 20% of the UK tech workforce are women? That is changing thanks to decades of progress in women’s rights and workplace equality. More women are now leading, coding, innovating, and shaping the future of tech than ever before.
At Outrank, we’re proud to support that progress through inclusive hiring, leadership development, and a culture that values every voice. At the heart of our company’s success is something we’re incredibly proud of – a leadership team made up primarily of women. In fact, the men are outnumbered, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
This dynamic has helped shape a workplace that is collaborative, strategic, and forward-thinking. Our growth over the past few years is a direct reflection of the insight, resilience, and innovation our female leaders bring to the table every single day.
In an industry that has historically been male-dominated, we’re proof that progress is not just possible – it’s powerful. From marketing and operations to tech and client success, women are not only holding key roles, they’re driving our business forward at every level.
We believe in building a culture where talent rises, not based on gender, but on capability, character, and contribution. And we’re proud to be part of a movement that continues to break barriers and challenge outdated norms.
The results speak for themselves – and so do the women behind them.
We asked some of the women in our office to tell us more about how they feel about being women in the tech industry – and here is what they had to say…
“Having worked across a range of industries and within various leadership structures, I can confidently say that Outrank stands out as the most inclusive and supportive environment I’ve experienced.
Here, I truly feel heard, respected, and valued – not just as a professional, but as a woman. I’ve never hesitated to share my views or contribute ideas, knowing that my gender will never be a barrier to being taken seriously.
This is the kind of culture women have long fought for, and I’m proud to be part of a workplace where that progress is not only recognised but actively lived.”
– Victoria Lefevre, Inbound Marketing & Social Media Manager
“I’m incredibly proud to be a woman in the digital world.
Five years ago, I started my journey at Outrank with zero experience, just a strong drive to learn and grow. Today, I’m a Delivery Manager leading team delivery on all projects and collaborating with some of the most talented people I’ve ever met.
Outrank didn’t just give me a role, they gave me the opportunity, support, and space to build a career. I’ve been trusted, challenged, and empowered every step of the way. This journey has taught me that you don’t need to fit a mould to make your mark, you just need the right team behind you.
Here’s to more women breaking into tech and thriving once they’re here.”
– Rye Greenhalgh, SEO Delivery Manager
“Recognition is just the beginning; what matters is how we show up every day for the women we work with. This isn’t about ticking boxes or chasing awards. It’s about making sure every woman here feels seen, supported, and safe to be brilliant. Culture isn’t a buzzword for us, it’s personal. And that means doing the work, asking the hard questions, and never settling for ‘good enough’.”

Achieving a spot and being recognised is fantastic, but we want to work hard to improve the workplace quality – not for the award placement, but to ensure we are providing the best environment for the women we are lucky enough to work with every single day.
To improve the workplace for women, companies can implement a range of measures focused on fairness, support, and opportunity. These include equal pay, flexible working arrangements, mentorship programs, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect. Addressing unconscious bias in hiring and promotion, as well as providing leadership development opportunities, are also crucial steps.
To build a fairer and more inclusive workplace, companies should focus on action – not just intention. Before we are able to improve, we need to ask ourselves “what is it that makes somewhere a great place for women to work?”
Some key steps we have identified include (but are not limited to):
Menstruation Discrimination
We don’t shy away from honest conversations. We offer free sanitary products, acknowledge period pain without judgment, and support each other through hormonal ups and downs. Need a moment? Need a tampon? We’ve got you.
Close the Gender Pay Gap
To close the gender pay gap, employers must ensure equal pay for equal work, provide transparency around salary bands, and actively identify and remove systemic barriers that prevent women from progressing and earning fairly.
Support Work-Life Balance
Support work-life balance for women by offering flexible hours, remote working options, and accessible childcare support. It’s also essential to provide fair and inclusive parental leave for both parents, helping women manage both career and family responsibilities more effectively.
Boost Career Development
Boost career development for women by launching mentorship and leadership programmes, ensuring fair promotion practices, and addressing the “broken rung” that often prevents women from moving from entry-level roles into management positions.
Foster Inclusivity & Respect
Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect by training staff to recognise and address unconscious bias, enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, and encouraging male allies while using inclusive language that makes all employees feel valued.
Support Women’s Specific Needs
Support women’s specific needs by introducing menopause-friendly policies, offering dedicated health and wellbeing benefits, and allowing employees to tailor their benefit packages to suit their individual circumstances.
Small changes make a big impact. Let’s build workplaces where all women can thrive.
