The Outrank team is lacing up its walking boots and preparing to take on a new challenge in support of two organisations that make a huge difference across our local community.
On 12 September 2026, at 9am, colleagues from across Outrank will complete the Tees Tech Trek, a 30.4km sponsored walk along the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline from Saltburn to Whitby.
Every step will raise vital funds for MFC Foundation and Teesside Hospice, helping both charities continue their incredible work across Teesside.
What is the Outrank Tees Tech Trek?
The Outrank Tees Tech Trek will see members of our team walk 30.4km from Saltburn to Whitby in one day.
It will be a challenging route, but it is also a brilliant opportunity for our colleagues to come together, enjoy the coastline and raise money for two causes that mean a great deal to the local community.
The trek reflects something that is incredibly important to us at Outrank, we believe businesses should play an active role in supporting the communities around them.
Through fundraising, volunteering, sponsorships and team challenges, we want to use our platform to help local organisations reach more people and continue providing essential support.

Supporting MFC Foundation
MFC Foundation is the official charity of Middlesbrough Football Club, it uses the reach and influence of the football club to create opportunities, raise aspirations and improve lives across Teesside.
Its work focuses on three core areas: education and employability, health and wellbeing and social inclusion. Through these programmes, the Foundation supports people of all ages and helps build stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities.
Between 2019 and 2024, MFC Foundation engaged more than 38,000 participants through over 25,000 sessions, generating more than £20 million in social value. Many of the people supported lived in some of the region’s most disadvantaged communities.
From helping young people develop confidence and skills to improving physical and emotional wellbeing, its work reaches far beyond football.
We are proud that funds raised through the Tees Tech Trek will help the Foundation continue creating positive opportunities for people throughout our region.
Supporting Teesside Hospice
Teesside Hospice supports local people and families who have been affected by a terminal illness. Its teams provide compassionate physical, mental and emotional care, helping people make the most of every day.
The hospice supports around 4,000 people across the Tees Valley, primarily in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland. Its services include inpatient care, outreach support, wellbeing services, lymphoedema care and bereavement counselling.
The organisation has supported people with terminal illnesses for more than 40 years, helping patients remain comfortable and independent while also providing guidance and reassurance to their families, friends and carers.
Teesside Hospice relies on the generosity of local people, businesses and fundraisers to continue delivering its services. Every donation helps ensure more people can access expert care, comfort and dignity when they need it most.
As a proud corporate supporter of Teesside Hospice, we are delighted to make it one of the beneficiaries of our latest team challenge.
One challenge with a shared purpose
Walking more than 30km will test the team’s energy, resilience and probably the comfort of our walking boots, but every difficult mile will be worth it.
This is not just about reaching Whitby, it is about bringing people together behind two organisations that work tirelessly to make Teesside a stronger, healthier and more supportive place to live.
Our colleagues will be collecting sponsorship ahead of the event, with all funds raised shared between MFC Foundation and Teesside Hospice.
