Max is Chief Technology Officer at Outrank, responsible for the strategy, structure and performance of the company’s technology and development function. He oversees all aspects of technical delivery, infrastructure, systems and innovation, ensuring the business is built on scalable, high-performance foundations.
His focus is on aligning technology with commercial outcomes. By developing robust systems, improving operational efficiency and enabling innovation, Max ensures Outrank’s technical capability supports sustained growth and increasing demand.
Working closely with the leadership team, Max plays a central role in shaping how the business scales, ensuring technology remains an enabler of performance, efficiency and long-term value.
Max brings over 15 years of senior technology leadership across ecommerce, retail and operational environments. He has a strong track record of delivering large-scale transformation projects that improve performance, efficiency and scalability.
Prior to joining Outrank, Max served as Group Technology Director at Crafter’s Companion, where he led global technology strategy, infrastructure and logistics. His work included a full migration from Magento 2 to Shopify Plus, implementation of Peoplevox WMS and the rollout of a central integration platform to improve data flow and operational scalability.
He also led the transition from Brightpearl to NetSuite ERP, modernised infrastructure and telecoms and supported international expansion across multiple sites and production operations.
Earlier in his career at inov-8, Max combined technical leadership with hands-on development, managing multi-region infrastructure, leading ERP and WMS initiatives and building digital platforms from the ground up.
Max brings a commercially focused, board-level perspective, ensuring technology decisions are aligned with operational performance and long-term business growth.
Max holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, Media, Games and Web Design from the University of Sunderland, providing a strong foundation in software development and digital systems.
